This coming Friday, January 31 will begin the cycle of Conferences of the "Cehegín Cultural", organized by the Department of Culture, directed by Juan Martínez.
It will be at 20:00 in the Cultural Center "Adolfo Suárez" and the one in charge of making the first presentation will be Professor María Maravillas Corbalán Abellán.
It will be titled "Music as human behavior".
María Maravillas Corbalán is Professor of Music at the Autonomous University of Madrid and previously held two chairs of Musical Pedagogy at the Superior Conservatories of Aragon and the Canary Islands respectively.
It brings together in its higher education the musical and psychological facets, focusing its teaching and research in recent years on auditory development through voice and choral singing.
As a researcher she has published several chapters and articles in international journals such as the International Journal of Music Education and the Journal of Research in Music Education) and has directed and participated in national and international conferences in Europe, the United States and Canada.
In the choral side, she has been director, pianist and singer in various choirs and currently directs the Virgen Blanca choir in the Community of Madrid.
