The Office of the Capital, located in the Romea Theater of the Murcian capital, which this year boasts the distinction of being the Capital of Spain of Gastronomy, has hosted the presentation of the XII Route of the Tapa and the Cehegín Cocktail.
The mayor of Cehegín, Alicia del Amor, the mayor of Commerce and Tourism, María Dolores Agudo;
the Director of the Institute of Tourism of the Region of Murcia, Juan Francisco Martínez, the councilors of the City of Murcia, Pedro García Rex, of Tourism;
and the mayor Urban Agenda and Government, Mercedes Bernabñe;
as well as the President of the Association of Commerce and Hospitality, María José Sánchez.
This presentation was also hosted by the President of Hostemur, Jesús Jiménez Avellaneda and the prestigious sommelier Ceheginero, Pedro Martínez, as well as a representation of the participating hoteliers and the tapas that will be made.
It will be held on weekends between January 25 and February 23 and in this edition it has a total of 22 participating establishments, 16 bars and restaurants and 6 pubs and coffee shops.
The cover or cocktail plus consumption will cost 2.50 euros.
Quality is a sign of identity, because these same tapas and selected cocktails already achieved in December the 'remarkable high' by a specialized jury.
In addition, this year, taking advantage of the fact that Cehegín is the First Rural Wonder of Spain, the Hospitality Board and the Department of Tourism and Commerce will take advantage of this event to promote the rich architectural heritage of the town.
The gastronomic route, jointly organized by the City Council and the Association, is joined by a series of events and activities that increase the attractiveness for the many people who visit the town during the weekends covered by the event.
That is why there will be news such as the Panoramic Routes by bus and the Routes through the Manor Houses with wine tasting, the so-called "Visit the 7 Wonders of Cehegín ..."
Solidarity Day, music-culinary activities at the School of Wine and the 'Kitchen with ...' space in which local characters with hoteliers from the route will participate are repeated.
The mayor of Cehegín commented that "the Cehegin Tapas and Cocktail Route has made a firm commitment to quality, creativity and innovation without losing sight of the most traditional and authentic cuisine of the Region of Murcia. We have positioned as the most important in the whole Region of Murcia, according to visitors and good reviews received from different organizations and associations. "
