The Councilor for Culture of the City of Cehegín, Juan Martínez, has presented the bases of what will be the XVII Cehegín Amateur Theater Contest that will take place at the “Adolfo Suárez” Cultural Center on 7,8,9,14 and 15 February.
Groups interested in participating in this contest may register until January 20.
The bases are as follows:
BASES:
1st.
All groups may wish to participate in this contest, provided they have amateur character, belong to the Region of Murcia.
2nd.
The representations will be in Spanish and may be creations of the groups themselves or other authors.
3rd.
Among all the groups that have requested their participation, a selection will be made.
4th.
The selection referred to in the previous point will be carried out by the organization of the contest, taking into account the work to be represented.
5th.
Once the selection of the participating groups has been made, the organization will designate the dates of action of each one of them.
6th.
The Contest will be held in February 2020, on days 7, 8, 9, 14 and 15
7th.
The deadline for submission of entries will end on January 20, 2020 based on the following data:
a) Name of the Group.
b) Group Manager and postal address and telephone.
c) Title of the work and brief synopsis of it.
d) Artistic and technical sheet.
e) Group history.
Video-DVD (uncompressed DVD format) summary of the work to be presented or of another one represented.
This point is important to facilitate the selection.
f) Assembly photos, if possible.

Shipments will be made in an envelope, in which outside it is stated: For the XVII Amateur Theater Contest "City of Cehegín".
8th.
All the works will take place at the Cultural Center - Adolfo Suárez - (House of Culture) of Cehegín.
9th.
In the event that the work represented accrues copyright, the Theater Group will be responsible for obtaining the corresponding permission from the SGAE, leaving the Organization of the Contest exempt from any type of responsibility.
10th.
The staging as loading and unloading will be carried out by the participating groups.
The organization will make available to them the same black camera, sound and lighting.
11th.
The Department of Culture will contribute to the expenses of the groups with a contribution of 200 euros.
12th.
The following awards will be established:
a) Best Show:
First prize: 400.00 euros.
Second prize: 250.00 euros.
b) Best address: 300,00euros.
c) Best actor: 200,00euros.
d) Best actress: 200.00 euros.
Prizes are subject to the corresponding withholding tax.
13th.
The qualifying jury of this contest will be designated by the organization and its decision will be final.
14th.
Registration in this contest presupposes the total acceptance of each and every one of the Bases.
15th.
The awards ceremony, the organization will communicate in advance the date and place of the event.
