The First Deputy Mayor and Councilor for Citizen Security, Jerónimo Moya, as well as the Head of the Local Police of Cehegín, Manual Antonio Fernández, have presented the “Safe Commerce†campaign, which since the said Department has been launched facing the Christmas holidays, in order to offer local commerce, a series of tips with the intention of improving communication between them and the security forces, both Local Police and Civil Guard.
For this, a brochure has been published that will be distributed by the commercial establishments of the town, offering a series of basic slogans, to improve the security of the shops, on a date where criminal incidents proliferate, precisely because of the increase in purchases, and by the greater influx of customers in shops and establishments of free concurrence.
With this action, explained Jerónimo Moya, “we intend to improve communication between the police and the commercial sector and increase security for the Christmas holidays, a holiday that is characterized precisely by the increase in consumption, and therefore the increase in little thefts. "
In the brochure, they explained, you can find very clearly, basic notions of how to act in the event of a criminal incident, as well as the contacts of both the Local Police and the Civil Guard.
They will be distributed in the next two weeks by the police officers themselves in the establishments, offering a brief explanation of their content and making themselves available to commercial establishments, for any problem that may arise during the next Christmas holidays.
