The City of Cehegín has hosted today the presentation of the II Petanque Tournament against Cancer, which will take place in Cehegín, next Saturday, December 7 at the Ginés Ibáńez Park, from 9.30 am in the morning.
The mayor of Cehegín, Alicia del Amor, the president of the Petanque Club “Ciudad de Begastri”, Juan De Dios Nadal, the President of the Petanque Regional Federation, Antonio Soriano and the President of the Spanish Petanque Federation, Antonio Pérez Arcas.
The mayor has pointed out “the importance of this charity tournament, which has grown considerably compared to last year and, whose full collection, will go to the Local Board of the Spanish Association against cancer, a noble cause, which highlights once again, that Cehegín is a very supportive town ”.
The President of the Spanish Petanque Federation, for his part, explained that “this sport has been stripped over time of its taboos and is already a reality.
It is practiced more and more and international successes reach all our players ”
Antonio Pérez Arcas, finally, has commented “that the Spanish Petanque Federation will always be next to these solidarity initiatives and I thank the work of the Petanque Club of Cehegín and the City Council for supporting these events”.
