The president of the Community, Fernando López Miras, visited Cehegín today, where they had a meeting with the mayor, Alicia del Amor, as well as with the First Deputy Mayor, Jerónimo Moya and members of the Government Team, to address the main matters of interest to the municipality.

This visit has also served to inaugurate the Industrial Ecology Research Center for the study of the use of insects as bioconverters of the company Entomo Agroindustrial, of the ceheginero Diego Amores, “with which the Region of Murcia becomes a European reference, at the level from pioneer countries in research and innovation such as France or the Nordic countries �.

José Armando Tellado, manager of the dairy giant Capsa Food, owner of Central Lechera Asturiana, a company that, as already published, is also a partner in the Entomo Agroindustrial company, when acquiring 15% of this signature from the company avant-garde in the field of circular economy.

"This is an example of work for a new economic and social model more natural and sustainable for the entire Region, said the head of the regional Executive, who explained that" the Government of the Region of Murcia is next to those who invest in research, innovation and development".

In this sense, it highlighted the implementation in 2017 of a comprehensive strategy aimed at encouraging and directing administrations, companies, institutions and organizations and research centers towards a Circular Economy model, based on a sustainable use of resources.
