The Cehegín City Council has used the flexibility and financial support measures recently established by the Government Delegate Commission to improve the conditions of loans to local entities.
The mayor, responsible for the Treasury area, Alicia del Amor, has informed that this measure has been approved in the framework of an extraordinary plenary session, with the support of all political groups, and "among the measures included in this agreement are I found one consisting of the grouping of formalized loans for financing payments to suppliers of local entities ”
The amount of the grouped loans would be 3,874,299.96 euros.
The new conditions once the City Council has taken advantage of this measure implies a period of lack of two years, as of June 2019. This will mean a reduction of the financial burden in the two years of lack of the principal of 1,214,294 , 56 euros, which may be used to improve the average period of payment to suppliers and therefore constitutes a very interesting measure to relieve the pressure of the battered municipal coffers.
“This measure, explained the mayor, will ease the payment to suppliers who are demanding a solution to the continued default for too many months to their invoices, coming from the previous legislature.
This measure adds to other measures that the government team is working on, all of them focused on improving liquidity and accelerating payment to Cehegín companies and freelancers. ”
