The Director General of Women and Gender Diversity of the Region of Murcia, María José García Méndez, has received Mónica Sánchez today, also a Councilor for Women and Equality at the Cehegín City Council, which has been accompanied by different groups of women in the town.

In this meeting they have presented to the director the different activities that will be carried out in the municipality on the occasion of November 25, in which the “International Day for the elimination of violence against womenâ€� is commemorated, as well as the various proposals in which the session is working with the different associations of Cehegín.

Mónica Sánchez explained that “this meeting has served so that the Director General knows, first hand, all the proposals related to women in which the City Council is working together with all the women's groupsâ€�.

“And in this way, it has concluded, to be able to strengthen close ties of collaboration between both administrations and plan, together, future projects that give more visibility to women in our society as well as the resources necessary to eradicate, increasingly, abuse towards the woman".
