Cehegín will host the First Day of Attention to Functional Diversity 'ATIENDE'.
It will be held at the Adolfo Suárez Cultural Center (House of Culture), on Saturday, November 9.
This initiative has been launched by the Cehegín City Council and the Adinor, D´Genes and Conquistando Escalones groups.
This was made public today at a press conference the mayor of Cehegín, Alicia del Amor, the Councilor for Social Policy, María José de Maya;
and Sofía Clemente, on behalf of the organizing associations.
This day is intended for health professionals, users, families, stakeholders and professionals from other related sectors.
"ATTEND", they explained, "will offer a varied training and information on issues related to people with Functional Diversity and the needs they present in their daily lives."
For this, there will be different speakers, specialists in different fields related to the subject, who will give visibility and response to the needs of family members and people with Disabilities, to facilitate their daily life.
In addition, all the people who come to make their presentations to the locality, they have specified, will do so altruistically.
These professionals will provide theoretical and practical information of interest to professionals in the socio-health sector, thus having information related to the development of people with Functional Diversity, (independent living, new intervention trends, innovative projects, school, employment, development personnel, technological advances, etc.)
The fundamental objective, as explained by the mayor of Cehegín, "is to sensitize citizens towards people with functional diversity. Having a difference does not incapacitate them to develop certain activities and we all have to get involved in facilitating the life and development of same. "
