This past Tuesday, September 17, the Municipal Socialist Group has presented a full motion to urge the PP-CS Government Team to lower the rate of the garbage collection service motivated by the change in the company that manages transportation, treatment and waste disposal.

This is explained by Ismael Abellán, councilor of the municipal socialist group, at a press conference today.

Thus, as Ismael Abellán explained, due to the award of this service by the Consortium for the Management of Urban Waste of the Region of Murcia (COGERSOL) to a new company in early 2019, the costs of these services that the City Council has been paying the consortium, they have been reduced by almost 30%, so it is fair, according to Ismael, that this reduction has an impact on the bill paid by Cehegín's neighbors for this concept.

Abellán wanted to clarify that "in no case this descent could mean a decrease in the quality of the service provision, since the descent would be made in the concept referring to the fee that the City Council pays to the Consortium, not in the costs that the City Council has in its work as a household waste collection service "

Finally, Abellán has declared that "with this measure that we present fully will benefit all the neighbors of Cehegín, as well as especially the companies, businesses and autonomous and autonomous of our municipality."
