According to sources of the Department of Police and Public Safety, directed by Jerónimo Moya, the Local Police of Cehegín has initiated a surveillance service by using an unmanned RPA aircraft, commonly known as "drone".
From the Local Police Headquarters it is pointed out that the agents in charge of this service will carry out scheduled flights, whose purpose will be to detect the commission of infractions, both criminal and administrative, such as the location of cannabis plantations, illegal activities and constructions , etc., being able to be used for other tasks such as the search for missing persons, inspection in areas of difficult access in buildings, among many other utilities.
The "police drone" of the latest generation, has a high-resolution 4K camera and FLIR thermal microcamera that brings together the characteristics for security operations.
Currently the staff of the Local Police of Cehegín has three agents who have the mandatory qualification to pilot these aircraft, being planned to conduct training courses in "drone" piloting by other components of the template, so that this resource It can be used by a greater number of agents.
With this measure from the Department of Public Safety, the Local Police are provided with the latest technical means to improve the quality of the service that is being provided and therefore guarantee citizen security.
