Yesterday afternoon, Wednesday, May 29, a press conference took place in which José Rafael Rocamora, accompanied by his seven councilors who have been elected in these municipal elections, analyzed the results of the last elections and the perspectives and the scenario that arises from the PSOE of Cehegín facing the new legislature.

The assessment of the current Mayor of Cehegín is positive without palliatives, because the PSOE of Cehegín has been the most voted political force, with more than 1,500 votes of difference and three more councilors, with respect to the second political force.

3,671 cehegineros and cehegineras have placed their trust in the PSOE of Cehegín, having also obtained greater support than four years ago, so not only the socialist project is the one that has obtained greater support, but that project has been reinforced, counted with greater confidence than four years ago.

José Rafael has remarked that in this political scenario "will seek the best solution for the benefit of the residents of Cehegín, because even having been very close to the absolute majority, this has not been achieved."

In this sense, Rocamora has announced that as the most voted political force from this moment "they will start talks with the rest of the parties to reach an agreement in favor of Cehegín."

In addition, he said that "feels with the hope and support necessary to continue with the project started four years ago, continue to govern Cehegín, but not at the expense of whatever, as this is not about chairs, but to govern to develop a political project that benefits all cehegineros and cehegineras ".

It is in this way, Rocamora said, "with a program and a project on the table, with which we will try to get in agreement with the rest of the parties, in benefit of Cehegín".

José Rafael has also asked for sanity, wisdom and responsibility to the rest of the political groups: "This is not about armchairs, this is about Cehegín and a political project for the benefit of the municipality." Citizens will have to choose between letting the Socialist Party govern make govern the PP, a party that most cehegineros have not supported, a party that has gone from 11 councilors to 5 in just 8 years.

Finally, José Rafael Rocamora has appealed to the wisdom to find the best solution, "not for the PSOE, neither for Citizens nor the PP, but for all cehegineros and cehegineras".

From the PSOE of Cehegín we trust that the other parties are up to the circumstances, and we can reach an agreement mainly on a project based on the program, a project for Cehegín to continue advanced.
