The Popular Party of Cehegín has obtained 2,169 votes in the elections held on May 26.
This means a total of 5 councilors, one less than in the last elections of 2015.
Alicia del Amor, candidate for mayor of Cehegín, has declared that "it is not the result we expected but the Popular Party remains the second political force in the municipality."
Del Amor thanked the neighbors who have entrusted their vote to the Popular Party and congratulated the inspectors and proxies of the PP for the work done, as well as all cehegineros for the course of an election day without incident.
Del Amor has also expressed his congratulations to the PSOE of Cehegín for having won the municipal elections.
He also noted that "from now on we are open to talking with any political force to reach the best agreement for Cehegín and its districts."
