The director of the Institute of Development (Info), Joaquín Gómez, attended today in Cehegín the opening of the technical day of marble of the Region of Murcia, which has organized the Community in collaboration with the Association of Marble and Stone Entrepreneurs of the Region of Murcia (Marsa) and which is part of the 'Plan Contract Region of Murcia'.
Gomez explained that "from the Institute of Development has organized this business and professional meeting with the aim of seeking new business opportunities." This action with stone entrepreneurs is complementary to the Mediterranean Contract Forum held yesterday in Cartagena, a opportunity to get to know other emerging markets with which they can open commercial lines, as is the case of Mediterranean countries, North America, the Caribbean, the Middle East or the Maghreb. "
This technical day of the marble of the Region of Murcia pursues the dual objective of facilitating innovation and training of companies.
The Cehegín meeting has several outstanding presentations, such as the one by the architect and the general secretary of the Italian association of natural stone producers -Confindustria Marmomacchine-, Raimondo Lovati, with a conference dedicated to the needs of the market and the new competitive challenges in the sector of natural stone.
The architect and building engineer David Caparrós also participates with an intervention on the qualities of natural stone compared to other construction products;
and the CEO of Visemar Piedra Natural, Luis Horcajuelo, with a specific intervention focused on the new business scenario in the natural stone sector.
After the initial presentations, a 'networking' of the participants and a visit to different quarries of the Northwest region have been programmed.
