In recent days there has been a cluster of nonsense and improvisations by the socialist government team of Cehegín with its mayor, José Rafael Rocamora, at the head.

For the realization of the new pavilion in the facilities of the Polideportivo Almarjal "Javier Miñano Espín" the City Council proposed to remove to the settlers of the municipal market 1,200 square meters of the facilities.

This proposal was outside the initial idea of ​​the project that included removing the paddle courts of these facilities.

After the complaints and protests on the part of the settlers of the municipal fish market the City council had to rectify and return to the initial idea to remove the tracks of padel.

This has been detrimental to the users who practice this sport in the paddle sports school.

Despite the inclement weather, on Saturday the padel courts were unilaterally dismantled and without consulting anyone.

Without clues where to practice paddle, the school has had to suspend its classes until it is not known when, as well as the rest of users who rented these tracks.

The padel courts built by the Partido Popular de Cehegín cost approximately € 50,000.

Now the government team of the PSOE has dismantled the tracks to build them in another place that is not the most appropriate.

The new padel courts will have an unnecessary cost that could have been avoided if it had been planned better.

The PP of Cehegín denounces the lack of foresight and the rush to want to start work on the new pavilion when there is a month left for the municipal elections.

Since the cover of the Sports Pavilion "Loli de Gea" collapsed in January 2017, the PSOE has had more than enough time to put on foot some much-needed sports facilities for the clubs of Cehegín and for all the citizens who make use of these municipal facilities.

From the PP it is requested that the government team of the City of Cehegín stop improvising, to seek political revenue and that the next municipal government, work seriously in the Pavilion of sports that deserve the cehegineros.
