Alicia Galo, candidate for the Mayor's Office of Cehegín for the Popular Party, has denounced the delay in payment to Cehegín City Council's suppliers.
According to the law, public administrations must settle their debts with suppliers within a real period of 30 days.
In the case of Cehegín City Council there are cases of payment delays of several months.
The delays on the part of the City council of Cehegín come given by the cessation in their positions of work of the inspector and the treasurer of the City council.
The PSOE government team decided arbitrarily and without criteria to cease their positions to the officials who for many years carried out outstanding work in two jobs.
The situation in Cehegín Town Hall has led to the non-payment and repeated delays in the collection of the payrolls of the teachers of the municipal music school.
For this reason, those affected have decided to suspend classes until they are paid.
The parents of the students of the municipal music school have shown their indignation at the suspension of these classes, since they do pay their fees.
From the Popular Party of Cehegín we asked for the immediate resignation of the councilor of Culture, Maravillas Fernández, before his lack of work, the same one that he did not have when a book was self-published with municipal funds.
We also ask Cehegín City Council for immediate payment to the teachers of the music school so that the classes are resumed and the students of the school are not harmed any further.
