At a press conference held yesterday afternoon, Thursday, April 4, the spokeswoman for the Municipal Socialist Group, Maravillas Fernández, has accused the spokesman of Citizens, Jerónimo Moya, of "launching serious and false accusations" in his press release in which he accuses the Government Team and more specifically the Mayor, José Rafael Rocamora, of violating the Public Sector Contracts Law for not publishing minor contracts in the transparency portal.
Faced with these accusations, Fernandez has expressed that "the new policy for Citizens is that reality does not spoil a good press headline, for them the important thing is to obtain a headline that damages the image of the Government Team, even though be false. "
The Socialist spokeswoman explained that the Public Sector Contracts Law obliges to publish minor contracts at the end of each quarter, so on April 1, the hiring councilor signed a document giving the order to make public said contracts, which, on the following day, day 2, were published both in the Contracts Platform of the Ministry of Finance and in the Portal of Transparency of the City Council of Cehegín.
He continues Maravillas Fernández warning that "Jerónimo Moya should know what the law says, because he works in a town hall." If he does not know her, Fernandez continues, it is serious, but if knowing her she makes these accusations, it is even more serious, because what she is doing is to lie blatantly for the sole purpose of trying to harm this government and our Mayor, characterized by its transparency and honesty, as well as being accused of breaking the law to the workers of the City of Cehegín, who watch every day to fulfill it " .
Faced with this situation, Fernandez has expressed that they are studying taking legal action against the spokesperson of Citizens, Jerónimo Moya, as well as against any means of communication that, without having contrasted that information, has published it, describing them as "accomplices of the lie".
Likewise, the Socialist spokeswoman, on the accusation that the spokesperson of Ciudadanos launches to the Mayor of wanting to hide information, has shown a series of requests for information that Citizens have made throughout the legislature assuring that "they have had access to absolutely all the information that they have requested, because this government is totally transparent "and that in the case of their last request, what they have made known is that, since the information requested must be prepared, they will be notified as it becomes available.
So it ensures that "we will not consent to a single false accusation by Don Jerónimo Moya, who has already accustomed this legislature to its destructive policy."
Maravillas Fernández concludes by demanding Jerónimo Moya to "apologize to the Government Team and its Mayor, as well as to the workers of the City Council of Cehegín, for the damage that may have been caused by their false and serious accusations."
