Alicia del Amor Galo is officially the candidate of the Popular Party since last night for the mayor of Cehegín, after the proclamation ceremony held in the halls of 'La Muleta' which included the participation of the regional party president, and the president of the Government of the Region of Murcia, Fernando López Miras.

The regional leader highlighted the courage, enthusiasm and ability of Alicia del Amor and assured that, starting next May 26, Cehegín will have the first mayor of its history who, together with his team, will recover the time lost by the Socialists in the last three and a half years and will return the illusion to the cehegineros, after almost four years of bad management of the government of Rocamora.

For its part, the Popular Party candidate for mayor, Alicia del Amor, thanked the party for the trust placed in her and said that she faces this challenge with responsibility, enthusiasm and a strong commitment to Cehegín and all the cehegineros.

The 'popular' candidate thanked everyone for the support and involvement in this new project and especially thanked the work carried out in the last three years by the municipal group and especially its spokesperson, María Dolores Carrasco.

Del Amor said he was aware that from now on his work for cehegineros will take time to devote to his children and family but that "he is convinced that this sacrifice will not be in vain since it will serve to offer them and all the cehegineros a better future, to be able to promote policies aimed at families and young people, policies that reactivate trade and industry in Cehegín, that reactivate employment, that promote tourism, policies that, ultimately, promote our municipality so that be the spearhead in prosperity within the Region and for young people here have strong reasons to stay.

Likewise, the 'popular' candidate claimed the role of women in the ceheginera society and in the decisions that must be taken for the present and future of our municipality and asked for the collaboration of all, "those of before and now" , to ensure that the next municipal elections involve the return of the Popular Party to the Cehegín government and the beginning of a new stage of illusion and prosperity for the cehegineros.

Alicia del Amor did not want to miss the opportunity to have the presence of the president of the Region of Murcia, Fernando López Miras, at the event, and asked her for help and that of her government from next May to carry out important and necessary projects for Cehegín.

"One of our first decisions as of May 26, when we are mayor, will be to request your government an integral plan of commercial, cultural and tourist development of the municipality, as well as a serious and firm impulse to our farmers, to the sector of the flower cut, the promotion of the tejeras of Valentín, and a plan of development to get that in this town everyone who wants to work can do it, "he said.
