The national mountain had this Saturday a priority appointment in our region, on the occasion of one of the great competitions of the season.
Cehegín hosted the V Spanish Championship of Absolute Trail and Master, in the framework of one of the most prestigious events in the calendar, the IX edition of Falco Trail.
A National that crowned in the absolute section Alberto Pujol (4:35:43) and Azara Garcia De Los Salmones (5:04:50), but that also gave us great joys as far as participation of our athletes is concerned.
So it would be in the Spanish Masters Championship, where a loot of six metals was achieved, with one gold, two silvers and four bronzes.
The title fell to the athlete of the Mobel Automenor Running Team Carmen Evangelista, who was proclaimed national champion F40, being also 12th absolute (6:38:15).
In that same category came the other women's medal, in this case the bronze for Esther Sánchez, of the Cuatro Santos Cartagena, being 15th in the National Absolute (6:59:59).
There was also no shortage of joys in the masculine section, where our best qualified at the absolute level would be Francisco Mendoza, of Alhama Coym, 10th in that classification and achieving the bronze medal in the Master 40 category (5:09:21).
He won the silver M45 Jesús Molina, Athletics Las Torres, 35º absolute (6:17:15), being national runner M50 and 36th absolute another athlete of Alhama Coym, Antonio Zamora (6:19:14).
Two more bronzes would fall, the one obtained by the athlete of the CD Runtritón Cartagena Manuel Paredes in M45, being 43º absolute (6:39:58), as well as the 3rd position M55 for Ángel Martínez, 47º of the absolute general (7:40: twenty).
Our second best athlete in that National would be Javier Salar, of the Mobel Automenor Running Team, 16th absolute and 4th M40 (5:22:25), followed by his club mate Alfonso De Moya, 26th absolute and 11th M35 (5:45: 29).
The 42nd absolute athlete Mobel Automenor Ismael Martínez finished (6:39:01), with José Pardo, from AC Jumilla, 45º absolute and 9º M40 (7:24:55), while the independent Jaime Ruiz would finish 48º absolute and 5º M50 (7:47:09), being 50º absolute and 14º M35 José Barrancos, from Chotacabras (8:44:11).
The indifferent Enrique Yépez, Francisco Alfonso Nicolás and the Alhama athlete Coym Gregorio Velasco left, while the 6th was the Mobel Automenor, with the times of Javier Salar, Alfonso De Moya and Ismael Martínez (17:46:55).
The female participation also had the 11th absolute position of the same athlete of the Mobel Automenor Ana Isabel Cánovas (6:21:28), culminating in 17th place Eugenia Gil, of Chotacabras (8:55:32).
