Two minors lived in the house
The Civil Guard of the Region of Murcia and the Local Police of Cehegín have developed, jointly, the CILLERA operation, an investigation framed in the services aimed at preventing and prosecuting drug trafficking, which has resulted in the dismantling, in a house in Cehegín, a clandestine greenhouse where 230 cannabis sativa plants and numerous tools destined for indoor cultivation have been seized.
Three people have been arrested as alleged perpetrators of the crimes of cultivation and manufacture of drugs, and defraudation of electricity.
The investigation began last October, when agents of the Local Police of Cehegín detected the illegal connection of the light supply of a house from which, in addition, emanated a strong smell of marijuana.
The first investigations allowed to determine the veracity of the suspicions and to find out that in the building resided a young couple, another adult and two children.
The different operations of housing surveillance, developed jointly by the Local Police of Cehegín and the Civil Guard, concluded with the obtaining of sufficient evidence that linked their residents to the illegal cultivation of marijuana, for which a writ of entry and registration of the judicial authority.
Recently, the exploitation phase of the operation that culminated with the seizure of 230 sativa cannabis plants approximately 1 meter high, 55 reactors, 54 halogen lamps, four fans, two electrical differentials, as well as several filters and extractors of air.
The residents of the house, two men and one woman, aged 31, 36 and 62, of Spanish nationality, have been detained as alleged perpetrators of the crimes of growing and making drugs, and of defrauding electric power.
The upper floor of the building dedicated to the cultivation of marijuana
The now detained had installed on the top floor of the building, devoted almost exclusively to the cultivation of plants, the elements necessary to promote their growth.
In addition they had equipped that floor with isolation mechanisms to avoid suspicion.
The arrested, the drug and seized effects, as well as the instructed diligences have been put at the disposal of the Court of Instruction number 3 of Caravaca de la Cruz (Murcia).
