On November 6, the two workers of the municipal radio MAS FM BEGASTRI filed a complaint with the labor inspection against Cehegín City Council for the non-payment of salaries, a non-payment that occurred since last March.

Proof of this is that workers who filed a complaint on September 26 with the objective of having their salaries paid, withdrew it after the mayor undertook to resolve the matter before the end of October.

During all this time, there have been a thousand excuses that have been exposed to not meet the payment of their obligations to these two workers, one of them blaming the officials to be responsible for issuing a report favorable to the payment of benefits.

Last Friday, November 2, the municipality and both workers received notification from the general treasury of social security informing that on October 16 the dean of the Court of Murcia, had admitted the ex officio demand that the labor inspection has filed against the City Council of Cehegín in response and ratifying the appeal filed by the municipality to the inspection record, before this fact the general treasury of Social Security, proceeds to the suspension of the processing of the file by which the municipality is required to payment of € 85,460.85 in concept of contributions not paid from 2013 to the present, but this suspension does not affect the condition of both workers, who, according to the inspection report, are still discharged in social security as workers of the municipality of Cehegín, carrying out their work and thereby maintaining

his right to receive his financial benefit for the salaries earned, this being the last excuse used by the city council not to face the payment of salaries.

On repeated occasions the mayor has recognized these workers before the obligation to pay their salaries, but first with different excuses, then blaming the officials, and finally by accepting this notification issued by the general treasury do not get to comply with it, being the feeling that they transmit, that the only thing that they pretend is to extend in the time and not to face their obligations, creating an irreparable damage and an unsustainable situation to these two workers, to their families and to the citizens of Cehegín, which will be those that finally they have to pay the expenses of delay, interest and possible sanctions produced by the apathy of the government team of not wanting to face their obligations.

In addition both workers see with impotence how this government team puts the flag of job creation, the improvement of employability and on the contrary these two workers obviate them in all the above, creating a serious problem for not paying their salaries during 8 months, running the risk of losing their homes because they can not afford to pay their mortgages, or running costs, or having to turn to their family or friends to lend them money to buy food or household goods. First need.
