The plenary session of last October 26 approved a motion proposed by the Socialist Group for the creation of a working group between the Autonomous Community and the City of Cehegín to put an end once and for all to the serious problem of the auditorium generated by the previous government , of the Popular Party.

The motion counted on the favorable votes of the political groups of the opposition Cehegín by the Change and Citizens, not of those of the Popular Party, that continues pawned in its nefarious idea to continue with the project of the Auditorium.

Maravillas Fernández was the spokesperson responsible for the defense of the motion, which explained on the one hand the consequences that this PP project has had and is having on the people of Cehegín, as well as actions related to this matter that the Government Team has I've been doing since the legislature began.

So, Fernandez explained the journey that the Government Team began as soon as it reached the City Council, with visits and requests to the Regional Government of the PP, visits to different public agencies, councils and the President of the Community, without any solution being provided. in this regard by the popular Murcia.

For the Socialists, this project of the Popular Party has been a total nonsense, from the conception of the idea, to our days.

A nonsense first for the unfeasibility of the project, because although the auditorium had been completed, Cehegín could not financially maintain a project of these characteristics.

And second for the execution of the dossier by the PP, both in the first phase and the second, spending the PP "in other things" around 6,700,000 euros committed to this second phase, a phase that as we all know did not reach start

As we say a whole nonsense, a nonsense that we remember is being investigated by justice.

Faced with the Popular Party, far from reality and against the general feeling of the cehegineros and cehegineras because it is still committed to the continuation of the project, the socialists have not stopped looking for solutions to the problem, which, we understand, must go through a cancellation of the debt that the City Council has with the Autonomous Community, the change of use to be able to look for another purpose to the project (as for example it could be the Residence of the Third Age), and the reconversion of the auditorium with public-private financing.

After the approval of this motion we demand that the Regional Government attend to the requests of the Municipal Plenary, and create the working group that can solve this problem that is a burden on Cehegín.
