According to sources from the Department of Police and Public Safety, directed by Joaquín López, on the afternoon of Saturday, May 26, agents of the Local Police of Cehegín received a call alerting of the presence of two individuals who were perched on the roof of the houses on Zurbarán Street, in the town of Cehegín.
Immediately, a local police patrol went to the scene, accessing one of the properties located next to it, from whose terrace they were able to access the house where the alleged robbery was taking place.
Once inside the house, the agents proceeded to locate the alleged perpetrators, resulting in two children under 16 and 17 years old, who carried in their backpacks the objects they intended to take advantage of the absence of the residents, proceeding to the recovery of the effects and the arrest of said young people as authors of an alleged crime of robbery with force.
Among the effects recovered, and that the alleged perpetrators intended to steal, are various jewelry (15 chokers, 6 bracelets, 19 rings, 18 earrings, 10 gold pieces of various formats, 10 wrist watches), a laptop, two tablets , a camera, a shotgun, two compressed air pistols, several foreign currency bills, and 980 euros in cash.
After the detention of the aforementioned minors, these were placed at the disposal of the Office of the Minors of Murcia, through the Civil Guard of the town.
