The project "Cehegín and its surroundings", started up by the councils of Agriculture, Forestry and Environment, directed by María José Martínez, has carried out the last programmed activity of this plan, aimed at raising awareness of three of the great potentials of this municipality, that is, agriculture, cultural heritage and natural spaces.

This time it was the students of the 5th Primary of the municipality who have been able to enjoy this third activity, called "Cehegín y su Naturaleza", which has been carried out in the Sierra de Burete, in which made a hiking trail in addition to knowing the diversity of flora and fauna that houses the aforementioned space.

As the mayor explained, "it is essential that, from an early age, people are aware of the value of our natural spaces and the greatness of our cultural heritage, which is why we promote these awareness-raising activities aimed at educational centers, as a way of to bet on our agriculture, respect our environment, and highlight our culture "
