The Director General of Tourism, Marina Garcia, mayor of Cehegín, Jose Soria, and the Councillor for Tourism in the town, Francisco in April, have visited the site of the new Office of Tourism, which will open its doors during the first half of the month July.
Marina Garcia has been very pleased with the progress of this work, carried out by the company SODELOR SL, with an investment of 532,691 euros, thanks to a grant from the Ministry of Tourism and Planning.
The director said that "I am very impressed because it is a fantastic work and has made good use of the site they had. Cehegín needed a new tourist office, and this will provide an important service."
Also added that "as soon as opened, you have to choose the Q for Quality."
Located on Calle López Chicheri, right in front of City Hall, will feature five floors will house the new Office of Tourism, a square lookout at the Peña Rubia, numerous offices, staircase and elevator units for municipal services, multipurpose rooms where give tourism training courses, meeting rooms, and file storage area and parking.
Jose Soria said that "this new Office of Tourism in the Old Town is a success for the people of Cehegín. We want that tourism is a work option for all young cehegineros."
