The detainee stolen hives to other apiaries for use in his
La Guardia Civil in the framework of Operation "drones", developed over recent months to eradicate the theft of beehives in apiaries in the region of the Northwest, thanks to the cooperation of citizens, proceeded to the arrest of a person presumed continuing offense of theft.
The alleged perpetrator is charged with 6 crimes so far, with the value of the goods stolen in excess of 15,000 euros, also achieving recovery of stolen hives that have been returned to their rightful owners.
The Civil Guard began investigating earlier this year to detect an increase in crimes related to theft of beehives in apiaries in the Northwest region, creating alarm among the workers of this union.
Civil Guard immediately established a number of devices composed of discrete surveillance in vulnerable areas to suffer this type of criminal acts in order to eradicate them.
In parallel, within the investigational device, the officers detailed technical inspections eye in order to collect evidence related to the alleged perpetrators, making determining the modus operandi used in the commission of these crimes.
Modus operandi
The alleged author conducted a thorough review of its objectives, choosing apiaries that were in areas with little traffic and acting in a slot away from the work of this type of work.

Result of research carried out by agents and through the cooperation of citizens during the past few days was located in the municipality of Cehegín the alleged perpetrator of these crimes, currently performing the arrest of himself and bring back much further of stolen hives that after being brought to justice have been returned to their rightful owners.
After a thorough analysis of information obtained in the research process so far has been able to confirm the detainee's connection in 6 crimes committed in apiaries located in the towns of Cehegín, and Lorca Moratalla, valuing all effects removed more than 15,000 euros.
Arrested:
This research has arrested a person suspected of continuing offense of THEFT, identified as:
- FML, Spanish, 31 and Cehegín neighbor.
The suspect, recovered and proceedings initiated effects have been made available to the Magistrate's Court in ONE of Caravaca de la Cruz (Murcia), which has exercised the judicial management of the operation.
Research related to this operation are still open no further action ruling.
