Miralles Cehegín highlights the work of "Project Abraham" and his commitment to training for integration (10/07/2014)

The Director General of Pensions, Assessment and Inclusion Programs Murciano Institute of Social Action (IMAS), Miguel Angel Mirralles today presented along Cehegín Mayor Jose Soria, and representatives of the Association 'Project Abraham' diplomas Workshop developed by this institution in the municipality.

In this workshop, which lasted 40 hours, included six people who learned sewing notions and repair of garments which, according to Miralles, "has allowed them to acquire the necessary training to perform a job."

Miralles said that "it is essential to promote training to enable social integration of those most in need", so valued the training initiatives undertaken by this association in different municipalities in the region.

The 'Abraham Project' Association's main objective is to ensure social cohesion, avoid social inequalities and coordinate resources as a strategy to maintain focus on the most vulnerable groups.

Miralles stressed the "important" work of this organization, which is "an example of self-financing and rehabilitation since, in addition to all the training initiatives undertaken, provides employment for people with difficulties."

The CEO praised the path having the association in different municipalities of the Community and its attention focused on initiatives for vulnerable groups and lines of work designed to promote and encourage actions that respect the environment through management non-hazardous waste such as textiles, footwear and toys.
