The City runs a tailoring course for women unemployed (01/03/2013)

The sewing workshop jointly organized by the departments of Environment and Social Services, led by Maria Dolores Carrasco and José María de Maya, respectively, in partnership with the Abraham Project, has completed a tour of those councilors who have known the work done by the students of the course, all women are unemployed.

The workshop, held from 15 to 28 February at the Social Local neighborhood of San Antonio, is dedicated primarily to the settlement of clothes and make other recycled fabrics, such as aprons, bags or covers for the ironing board.

"The socio-occupational workshop has been aimed at improving the employability of people who are in situations of social vulnerability, in order to integrate them in the ordinary labor market, either on their own or someone else," according explained both councilors.

During 40 hours of practical training, the students have learned to make these arrangements and repairs of clothing and also to use industrial sewing machines.

Previously, under the agreement and that the City Council has signed with Project Cehegín Abraham, have conducted two courses of social and employment in the municipality, a cobbler and other audiovisual in which students are taught the tools to edit videos and manage cameras.
