The wait comes to an end.
Hardly separated practically hours, to be witnesses in our region of one of the great national holidays of Trail Running.
This is how it will be this Saturday, December 8, when Cehegín will be witness to the V Spanish Championship of Absolute Trail and Master, in the framework of one of the most prestigious events in the calendar, the IX edition of Falco Trail.
More than 600 athletes will take part in the mountain marathon that hosts said National, with 92 athletes fighting for the title.
A similar distance for the FAMU 2018/19 Trail Tour circuit, while about 400 are expected in the half marathon and 200 in the long distance, 2nd appointment of the Ultra Trail Tour FAMU, I XTrail League of the Region of Murcia.
They will not miss the important names of the specialty in our country, also participants in that world title in Penyagolosa, such as Juan José Somohano, runner-up in the last Spanish Championship held in Gran Canaria, as well as the bronze medalist Santiago Mezquita;
Pablo Villalobos, the national champion in 2017 Miguel Caballero, or the candidate for the privileged positions David López.
In the women's section, the current national champion Monica Vives will fight to revalidate the title, counting among its main rivals the national champion and runner-up of the world in 2016, Azara García de los Salmones, or who achieved the Spanish championship in 2017 and the 4th place in the Penyagolosa World Championship, Gemma Arenas.
Also will be present Sheila Aviles, national champion of mountain race-trail running.
Around the representation of Murcia, will be up to 15 male and four female athletes in the National Absolute.
This will be done by José Pardo, from Athletic Club Jumilla, the independents Ángel Martínez, Jaime Ruiz, Enrique Yepez and Francisco Alfonso Nicolás;
Antonio Zamora, Francisco Mendoza and Gregorio Velasco, from Alhama Coym;
Manuel Paredes, representing the Runtritón Cartagena;
Jesús Molina, from Las Torres Athletics;
José Barrancos, of the Chotacabras, as well as the athletes of the Mobel Automenor Running Team Alfonso De Moya, Javier Salar, Ángel Mayor and Ismael Martínez, also taking part of De Moya and Mayor in the Spanish Masters Championship.
In females we will have the athlete of Chotacabras Eugenia Gil and three other representatives of the Mobel Automenor Running Team, Ana Isabel Canovas, Maria Isabel Pelegrin and Carmen Evangelista, also present in the National Master.
